Menicon Z-α contains benzotriazol, an ingredient that absorbs ultraviolet light. The Menicon Z material blocks over 90% of harmful UVA and UVB rays from entering the eye.

Under the supervision of an ophthalmologist, it is possible to use them like daily wear Lenses, wearing them in the morning and then removing them before going to bed, or as continuous-wear lenses for up to 30 days under the supervision of an ophthalmologist.
