What is keratoconus?

Keratoconus is a deformation of the cornea, where it gradually thins and loses its normal spherical shape, eventually assuming an irregular cone shape.

This distortion causes problems such as blurred vision and distorted or poor long-distance vision.

Sufferers of this corneal distortion must wear specialized contact lenses.

Keratoconus usually affects both eyes, but not with the same severity.

What kind of contact lenses?

Menicon offers many lens geometries adapted to the progression of keratoconus. Lenses are in manufactured in Z material to allow maximum intake of oxygen to your eyes.

You can follow the link immediately below to acquire more information about keratoconus and find out about the Rose K family of lenses for keratoconus and irregular corneas. Just click on the banner.
