Most standard soft contact lenses (SCLs) have limited base curve (BC) & lens diameter (DIA) offerings designed according to average horizontal visible iris diameter (HVID) (11.6 to 12.0mm)1, 2 and average corneal curvature (K value)3. This means part of the patient population may be wearing contact lenses that do not fit well and are either too large or too small (HVID) or too flat or too steep (K value) for the patient’s eye.
To address this issue and satisfy more users, we developed Menicon Vintage. It has a customizable BC and DIA and is available in an extensive range of parameters.

It utilizes corneal data automatically imported from a topography scan or manually entered from keratometry readings to suggest an appropriate lens design, simulate the lens fitting, and calculate the optimal lens parameters.
